Rosebud Our Boat

The Rosebud is the restaurant’s licensed fishing boat catching seasonal line caught Mackerel, Pollack, Bass and squid. Lobsters are also caught using our fleet of pots, weather permitting. Line caught fish not only ensures sustainability but also ensures a premium product ends up on your plate.

We have a partnership with the National Lobster Hatchery, Padstow, whereby we provide them with berried lobsters, when caught, to assist in their breeding programmes. In addition we also release young lobsters from the hatchery back to the wild in an effort to conserve and maintain future stocks. This year we have already sent several berried hens to the hatchery and understand that we should have a couple of thousand young lobsters to release in Sennen over the coming weeks.
